Seligman's early origins were as a connecting point for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroads. However, the town is now an important link to Route 66, which runs through the center of Seligman.

The 2006 Annual Fun Run sponsored by the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona was a success. The Fun Run, held May 5th - 7th, began in Seligman and ends 140 miles later in Topock/Golden Shores. Participants are encouraged to stop and see the sights along the way. |
